The Asian Cultural Council is excited to announce the appointment of our new Director of Programs, Shinnie Kim. Kim joins ACC from The Vilcek Foundation after 8 years, where she held the position of Chief Program Officer. She directed the foundation’s strategic planning and implementation of the Vilcek Foundation Prizes. She oversaw all aspects of the prizes program, which focused on immigrant professionals in diverse disciplines in the arts and sciences. Prior to The Vilcek Foundation, Kim was at the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP) for 11 years, where she managed residency logistics and exhibition programs for hundreds of artists and curators from over 60 countries.

Kim studied Visual Arts at Université Paris 8 and CUNY- Hunter College. She is passionate about fostering meaningful connections between artists and arts organizations and enjoys working with people who have international backgrounds. We look forward to building ACC’s programmatic reach and impact with Kim’s leadership and guidance.
